Neutral Nails

Whenever you’re stuck trying to figure out what nail color you should get, I recommend going for a nude tone. I’m a big fan of neutral nails because they elongate your fingers and blend perfectly with every outfit in your closet.

Choosing the right hue for your nails is a big commitment, especially when you’re getting your nails done professionally because you are stuck with that color for a good amount of time. There’s nothing worse than dressing up for an evening event and having springy yellow nails with white polka dots. Even if you decide to put temporary nail polish over your acrylic or gel nails, you can blemish the shine of the nails with the polish remover. So why go through all that trouble?

Don’t get me wrong, nail art is very beautiful and interesting, but I will keep it to a minimum by decorating one nail, rather than all – preferably the ring finger.

When deciding the right tone for your nails, keep in mind that you want it as close to your skin color as possible. (Unless you want more of a pastel pink look.) Picking a nude nail polish is as simple as picking your make-up foundation. If you want to achieve nude nails at home, I suggest that you use the OPI nail polish because it has a great consistency and quality. Definitely worth the money.

Another important thing to keep in mind is finding the right nail shape for your fingers. We all have different finger shapes, so certain nail styles will look better than others. It’s always fun to play around with shapes, but knowing the one that flatters your fingers the most is always good to know. Personally, I like squoval on me 🙂

So, do you dare to go bare?
